The Collectible Everyone Wants at The Bitcoin Conference 2024

July 19, 2024

A coveted collectible desired by all but attainable by only a select few.

As Miami’s sun sets, Nashville welcomes us with music and BBQ.

We’re gearing up for Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville, where both the orange coin and the orange man will converge. This year at The Bitcoin Conference, our Bitcoin Trading Cards community isn’t focused on the release of another series of the incredibly scarce Orange Pill in a Pack trading card set limited to 875 boxes and 21,000 packs — this annual event is scheduled for October.

If you didn’t attend Bitcoin Miami in May 2023, you might have missed the weekend’s biggest happening: the launch of Bitcoin Trading Cards Series 2: Orange Pill in a Pack. I regret skipping Pacific Bitcoin in November 2022, where Bitcoin Trading Cards first appeared — I learned my lesson. One thing is guaranteed: if you attend an event where BTCTC is showcased, you’re sure to witness them in action.

To Recap B23 Miami: The event was electrified with attendees driven by intense FOMO, eager to secure their collection of Series 2 Orange Pill in a Pack. On-site, enthusiasts enjoyed ripping open packs and collecting autographs from their beloved warriors. A highlight was the competitive pursuit of the inaugural ‘whale card’ — the B23 Miami Whale #/10 from the exclusive Commemorative Whale packs (limited to 1,210 packs). Series One OPP eventually sold out on the website, fetching a commanding list price of $4,000.

The weekend was full of so many unforgettable moments, and the opening night of Bitcoin Miami 2023 was on fire. The founding team, advisors, and packstackers all had their chance to rip packs. Brady, pulled off a Mt. Gox, the first S2 OPP Legendary to ever be pulled, and I walked away with my prized Adam Back #419/500!

The atmosphere at the conference, from the bustling Newsdesk to the vibrant BAZAAR and the awesome Block Clock tower, had the crowd electrified with excitement and anticipation.

Signatures from warriors who visited the Bitcoin Trading Card booth included esteemed warriors such as Samson Mow, Carla and Walker, Natalie Brunell, Greg Foss, Dylan LeClair, Max Keiser, Lisa Hough, and many others. Packstackers were stoked to grab some Block-Heighted signatures on their new S2 OPP chase and common cards.

One of my favorite parts of the whole conference — witnessing the live painting sessions of world-renowned Bitcoin artists such as Mear One and George Bodine showcasing their exceptional talents. There’s few things as impressive as watching these artists create something from nothing.

As we gear up for Bitcoin’s next big event, let’s take a moment to reflect on what the project and community has accomplished.

For the inauguration of our new Collaboration Series, we have joined forces with an incredible new project, Spirit of Satoshi, that is creating the first Bitcoin-centric AI language model, built to help people learn about this revolutionary technology that is set to change the world in ways we can only just begin to imagine. By removing the monetary power from the hands of a small group, and putting it back in the hands of the people, we finally have the potential to truly be free.

The last time I attended a Bitcoin conference, I couldn’t resist tearing open packs. I’m thrilled to be back and believe that being able to join this special community annually for Bitcoin’s largest global event is a true blessing.

Visit us at Booth B44/B45 where we’ll showcase new wax, Genesis Packs, and a host of packstackers and community members eager to connect.

Anticipate more than 50 packstackers at the event, among them the esteemed founder of Bitcoin Trading Cards, Alladan, and advisors like Samson Mow, Brady Swenson, and myself. We’ll also be joined by numerous HEWP Bitcoin Artists, as well as select Heroes and Villains from the upcoming S3 OPP.

Finally, stay tuned for a Koil Breaks announcement for those looking to hunt 1/1’s in the newest sets!
